Environment

The term “environment” refers to the surrounding conditions, influences, or factors that affect the life, development, and survival of organisms, communities, and ecosystems. It encompasses both the physical aspects—such as air, water, soil, and climate—as well as biological elements, including plants, animals, and humans. The environment is often divided into several components: the natural environment, which includes earth’s ecosystems and landscapes; the built environment, consisting of cities and human-made structures; and social environments, encompassing cultural and societal contexts. The concept of environment also extends to encompass the interactions between living organisms and their surroundings, highlighting the importance of sustainability and ecological balance in maintaining the health of the planet.
