Earth Science

Earth Science is a broad field of study that encompasses the scientific examination of the Earth and its various systems. It includes various disciplines such as geology, meteorology, oceanography, astronomy, and environmental science. Earth science investigates the physical and chemical properties of the Earth, the processes that shape its structure and surface, and the interactions between the atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere. By applying scientific methods, earth scientists seek to understand phenomena such as climate change, natural disasters, resource distribution, and the history of the planet. The ultimate goal of earth science is to gain insight into the Earth’s systems and their dynamics, which in turn aids in managing natural resources and addressing environmental challenges.
